Lanterns, Mooncake and...Popcorn!

Lantern Festival 2010
Time: supposedly 7pm to around 10.30pm
Place: Cornerstone Baptist Church!

Truthfully....I had my doubts on going. I didn't know what had gotten into me. But hey! Glad I didn't back out. It was a fun fun night!

Started off with me and bryan arriving at church and setting up the Popcorn Machine! Can you believe they actually trusted me with this thing?

Heh-heh-heh!

Hmm lets see what happened when I was left with the popcorn machine all alone. Unsuprevised. I...

burnt my finger.
spilt oil on my sister.
spilt popcorn everwhere.
screamed.

-.-"

But something good came out of it! I now know the art of making popcorn! Yay me!
and I got better after a few more tries. XD

That was later on during the night.

Before that...

People started trickling in till church was packed!

Then, came worship and performances!

fan dance

violin performance

There were more performances and a message given by Pastor Soong but I missed it. Oh no. =( but guess what I was upto instead! A bunch of us helped out in the Lantern Walk! The kids got to walk around the neighbourhood with lighted lanterns!

Highlight of the night: I got to 'walk-walk' with a lantern! Ahh...talk about a trip down memory lane. Reliving my childhood. It was super fun for me! Imagine me squealing with joy, jumping up and down with excitement. Running around with a lantern.

Yes. Im 19. XD

sisters!

We came back. Served popcorn. Makan. Met new people and just had a great time laughing, fooling around and talking!

And guess what??

On the ride back home, my sis and I saw fireworks!! Talk about ending the night with a bang, eh?

=)

I'm happy. I'm contented.

And I realised something. It's been awhile since I've laughed this much, just being my normal, silly-clumsy-chirpy-talkative self at church. And the funny part is...I didn't even realise I was acting differently before today. Weird.

Thank You, Lord for making today a success. For keeping us safe and for the fun, the fine weather and the people as well. I pray that the message given by Pastor Soong will touch lives and change hearts. In Jesus' name. Amen.

Its raining now. Perfect weather for a nice deep sleep. =)

if you ever read this...we really did wish you were here. you weren't with us in person...but you were with us in heart and mind. =) serious!
