Dear God,
I watched this movie today about a boy, Tyler that has cancer. He wrote letters to You everyday and through those letters...many many lives were touched. In this movie, there were some people who were really hurt and blamed you.
"...but you know what? I don't want God's will to be done! I don't care about all these bible verses! They aren't curing my son!"
Sounds familiar doesn't it? We all felt that at some point in our lives. I know I have.
but God...in the end...You do know best.
Which is better?
Saving one life at the expense of many or saving many at the cost of one?
You let 8 year-old Tyler get cancer. But through that...so many people came to know You. So many people were saved. Tyler understood that. He understood he was hand-picked by You for this purpose.
And I hope that when troubled times come my way, I would understand this as well.
Bad things may happen so that others can be reached. Or maybe so we can understand the pain others go through...that we may use our experience to comfort them...support them.
You know...God. You know the pain my friends and family may be feeling right now. Friendship problems, relationships, self-esteem issues or even just feeling all alone. Please comfort them. Be with them. They need You.
Thank You...for Your hand upon my life and the lives of those around me.
