The excitement has died down a lil and the stress is slowly creeping in. Despite everything, I am thankful to God for He has provided a roof over my head. He has shown me much blessings through the Khoo family as well.
As I look back on my first day...
Dragging 30kg worth of luggages up a hill in the dark.
Finding ourselves with a key that would not open any lock.
Looking really suspicious, by trying the key at every unlit house at that row.
Hahahaha!
Not a good start.
We got caught by the bus officers for holding an illegal Go card.
Stood in the rain to watch fireworks on Australia Day.
Braved the storms to go to church.
Had sandwiches for lunch for a week because it was cheap.
Stared at by hungry ducks at the UQ lake.
I have arrived!
QUACK
Australia Day in the rain
The people here are mighty friendly except for those terrorizing high school kids.
Massive bad-ass crows that put Malaysian ones to shame.
Mega portions of food.
It has just been two weeks and quite a bit has happened. Looking forward to what the following days shall bring.
Cheers!
