Okie!
So I've finally gotten down to reading my baptism present from aunty Fay Khim and family. I was again presently surprised.
The author is hilarious! (At least to me! XD)
Ahahahahaha!
Seriously...I thought it would be another one of those boring, wordy books. But I just love the way the author (Tim Pauls) gives his analogies on things.
On why you should read Chapter 1: Witnesses
...Besides, it includes a drawn-out analogy about a goldfish named Mr. Sloopy, and how can you not read about that?
An example on how science can't prove everything..
...You best friend tells you a fish-bowl shaped UFO landed in his backyard. A gurgling voice from inside the craft wanted to know how to find the Chosen Exalted Goldfish, Leader of the Universe, whom it called Mystrslu Pe. (Ahahahahaha! Omg! What the heck rite? XD)
and other analogies using The Goldfish Bible and stellar goldfishes.
I see a pattern going on here, don't you? This guy must really love his goldfish. xD
There are others too...like his patient wife who wonders why she's being called a type of squash and many more la!
But the funny weird stuff aside, this book covers many common debatable questions that always comes up.
From abortion to why we don't sacrifice animals in church anymore (like they do in the old testament). It also gives a logical account of how science and God is actually relatable (as to opposing each other). Euthanasia, death penalties etc etc.
Its not a bad book really.
Interested? Give me a holler! =)
